Gina Clemmer, President
Gina Clemmer is an activist and believes that technology can aid in improving
the lives of disenfranchised communities. She has a strong history of
working with non-profit and public agencies in the areas of race, poverty
and community development. She has taught and consulted with thousands
of organizations on social research, grant writing and GIS across the
country. Clemmer is an active professional researcher and consultant with
organizations such as Aids Housing of Washington, Community Alliance of
Tenants, Portland Parks and Recreation and YouthBuild.
Her current projects
include developing an Advanced Census Analysis Workshop using PUMS data
and researching innovative uses of GIS in community planning. Her former
experience includes Principal Researcher for the City of Portland, Oregon's
Bureau of Housing and Community Development, Program Manager for Network
for Oregon Affordable Housing (NOAH), GIS Consultant to Johnson County,
Iowa Juvenile Crime Prevention Project, Coordinator of Intercultural Life
at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois and Project Manager at Target Group,
Inc a Chicago based affirmative action consulting firm. She earned a Master's
degree in Urban Planning from the University of Iowa with a specialty
in Low Income Housing Development and GIS.
