Professional Staff
Gina Clemmer, President
Gina Clemmer is an activist and believes that technology can aid in improving
the lives of disenfranchised communities. She has a strong history of
working with non-profit and public agencies in the areas of race, poverty
and community development. She has taught and consulted with thousands
of organizations on social research, grant writing and GIS across the
country. Clemmer is an active professional researcher and consultant with
organizations such as Aids Housing of Washington, Community Alliance of
Tenants, Portland Parks and Recreation and YouthBuild.
Her current projects
include developing an Advanced Census Analysis Workshop using PUMS data
and researching innovative uses of GIS in community planning. Her former
experience includes Principal Researcher for the City of Portland, Oregon's
Bureau of Housing and Community Development, Program Manager for Network
for Oregon Affordable Housing (NOAH), GIS Consultant to Johnson County,
Iowa Juvenile Crime Prevention Project, Coordinator of Intercultural Life
at Knox College in Galesburg, Illinois and Project Manager at Target Group,
Inc a Chicago based affirmative action consulting firm. She earned a Master's
degree in Urban Planning from the University of Iowa with a specialty
in Low Income Housing Development and GIS.
Joye Orcutt, Vice President of Operations
Joye Orcutt oversees all aspects of operations, which include workshop
coordination and client relations. She brings in-depth experience in public
relations, strategic planning and financial services. Her former experience
includes contract administration for KPMG, a global financial services
firm.
Andrew Sauer, Instructor
Andrew Sauer is an instructor and professional researcher. His former
experience includes working as a policy intern at National Housing Trust, working with public systems modeling and as a social studies teacher. He earned a Master's Degree
in Public Administration from Cornell University with a concentration in Social Policy.
Jason Williams, Instructor
Jason Williams is an instructor and GIS professional. He holds a geography degree from the University of Florida where he specialized in site location analysis. Prior to New Urban Research Jason was a GIS Specialist in the local government sector in North Carolina.
Jason Graham, Marketing Manager
Jason Graham manages all marketing, public relations, and communications. He holds a marketing/communications degree from Portland State University. Prior to New Urban Research Jason has held marketing positions within the education and real estate industries.
